I have programming experience, but have not tried to make a kernel driver before. I have searched a little, and it seems to be some quite good documentation lying around on the net. Of course it would be best to get help from someone experienced in writing v4l drivers. I suggetst we start the project.
Maybe we should have a mailing list and a simple web page. I could make that. I could also start with installing Windows on my laptop (I don't like that much) and start figuring out how the Windows driver communicates with the camera. Looking at the source of other drivers for similar controllers is also a smart way to start, I think.
Well, we can discuss how we want to do the work when it's decided that we want to do it.
