I sent a request both to ALi and to ASUS. I have not heard anything from ALi, but ASUS answered politley that they don't support Linux, but I could look at the tuxmobil site for help. I replied, stressing that I hadn't asked them to support Linux, but to release the information needed to programme the hardware they had sold me, and I got this answer:

I think it's a good idea to make as many people as possible send emails to both ALi and to whatever company that use the chip.
